SAMSUNG JUDGES & AUTHORITY why you dont select the app. BLUEGLASS which got the most VOTES , most Youtube Ratings ???

dont you guys compare it to other apps ???

you guys didnt make winner the app with Most votes !!!

YOU SHOULD POST YOUR REASON SO THAT ALL KNOW WHATS THE BIG DEAL !!!

What about the so many people who loved and voted for that app ???

to me that app is best and innovative and enjoying. Fetching FACEBOOK status by just getting a real time pic !! how was that !!! to me that was the best part..!!!

that app's other features were awesome too !! people would love to see that as winner and if that app is updated than it gonna be a selling monster !! :-)

    thank you samsung !! :-)

i am socked that such innovative application didn't get any recognition!

  •   •   about 8 years ago

Its really shocking that such a fantastic app BLUEGLASS got nothing in the end though it got so many votes from the veiwers..
& the app was really something new, more innovative..:(

    its unfair.

The app doesn't work.. and they cheated the votes.. and they were not eligible to enter the contest anyway..
Sign doc mobile also cheated votes.. focus pen should have won the popular vote.

Have you tried the application with proper instructions (Kristian B)? I bet you didn't. Cause me with my friends are using it daily, we are having fun with it. Although sometimes it doesn't recognize the face, but I don't blame them after I searched about face recognition on Google. Face recognition is not moderate enough in our age. I hope they will do better in future and still it makes me feel bad to see they are not in the winning list.

If it works so well for you, go rate it on the market, as far as I can tell they need the up votes..

  •   •   about 8 years ago

None of any apps did such a massive campaign (press release, article writing in different popular tech news site and blog writing) for public voting as did for Blueglass..even Blueglass have more than double visitors in youtube than Signdoc Mobile..where SignDoc Mobile have less visit count in youtube than their total votes..

On the other hand Only Blueglass is the most outstanding app among all...I wonder Samsung still enlisted bluegalss in their 48 eligible app list but no prize for those true hard work and innovative project..

I strongly protest for this unfair

    Dear Kristain B,
If you have closely looked at the reviews in Google Play, 4 negative comments came from user of Galaxy S/S2 Nexus phones.
and out of 100-500 downloads, 10 were rated '1 star', why the other did not rate?

is this what you are counting or is this what the judges used to evaluate the app?

    Dear Kristian B,

As a matter of fact, we have a log of every face recognition request on our server which helps us to monitor our API traffic and usage. I have been monitoring those logs since the first negative comment posted under Blueglass (to find out the problem). But, I have never seen your name on that list which means you never used this application (more specifically face recognition).

And also I can see lots of people are claiming that Blueglass has crashed on their device, but we have received only one crash report in Google Play dashboard. I don't know how to justify their claim with the crash report we can see.

I don't use Facebook, because of the fact I don't like people keeping info on me like you say you do to your users.
I used my girlfriend's phone (I bought her the note). I used her account. I used my brother's account. My brother could actually get it to detect a face after 20 minutes. It didn't recognize anyone, ever.. At least not as the correct person. I doubt anyone's name on that list of yours has gotten recognition to work. Isn't that the problem?
I was the second comment. I wish I used facebook, so I could try it. I played with most of the applications. I tested your application for you. The 1500 voters couldn't do that, in fact your huge press release, campaigns on social media, news articles and all of your other forms of promotion get you less than 2 stars in the market.
I see the potential in this app, I understand we had a short time to build our apps, and the best apps won.

Hi folks, I'm Brandon, CEO of ChallengePost. We verified all the votes to see whether they were eligible according to the official rules. Those votes that weren't eligible (and we know which ones were) weren't counted. We check votes by a wide variety of manual and automatic checks, and just because a vote appears on the site doesn't mean it's eligible.

We also sent out several emails explaining the Dos and Don'ts of voting.

Also, only one prize took into consideration the popular votes. The rest were voted on by the expert panel of judges. We take pride in having run an extremely fair competition and thank you for your participation.

with due respect to Samsung's decision I wanna ask why Blueglass is't the winner after getting maximum votes & video count?

    Dear Moderator

After reading out your DOs and DON’Ts I have got some question to ask.

    DOs:
    • Register for one account per person.
o Is it registration from one computer (IP address) per person?
    • Vote once daily for each of your favorite submissions.
    • Tell a friend to vote. (Legally, of course.)

    DON'Ts:
Attempting any of the following could be grounds for disqualification!
    • Register for more than one account per person. --- How do you define “One account per person”? A participant’s university friend, roommate, colleague, etc. might use same laptop to sign in and vote for the app. So in this case the IP address of those accounts will be the same, and thus how your system will count those vote?
    • Use an automated process or similar device to vote, including but not limited to a robot, program, script, macro, or other automated means or other source. - --- Again if group of people use their university lab or cyber cafe to vote for an app then 300 users might use a same 30 computer to sign in and vote for the application. So isn’t it contradictory with your selection procedure of online voting? So in this case though 300 individual people are voting but will your system count them as 30 votes since they are from the same 30 computers? If so then you should have stated it clearly that “Registrant/voter should use an unique IP address or computer to caste their vote”. They cannot use any cyber café or university/office computer lap to cast votes. Dear Moderator, Isn’t it contradictory again because how can your system distinguish those votes?
    • Pay people or provide any other type of consideration in exchange for votes. ---- How will your system or the moderator who are validating the votes get to know that if any participants are providing any types of consideration in exchange for votes? Is it really possible to distinguish those votes? In your DO’s you said, “Tell a friend to vote. (Legally of course)”, again this statement is kind of contradictory. As stated above if any participants tell his/her friends then some of them might use the same computer/device or the same network to vote for. So is it really possible to tell which votes are coming from a friend from exchange/consideration or which one is “Legally of course”?

In your challenge page you are stating 4918 follower, my question is how many are fake followers? If your voting filtering criteria is so strong enough then why are you not filtering those fake followers and stating the true numbers? Is it kind of promotional strategy to use higher numbers of followers though your system knows that they are fake numbers?

Lastly, if you are organizing such event then your real-time voting system should be strong enough to fit your own criteria of filtering the “so called fake votes” and display the real number of casted voting. This kind of online voting of yours only give advantages to the organizer/selector to select or manipulate “Popular choice award”. So, what is the point of keeping this extra segment of “popular choice award” when you are keeping the option of manipulating by the moderator?

Actually, Infinite Painter has had the most video views...nearly 4 times as many views than Blueglass.

Guys this competition is over! @Kumar, dude what makes you think they are gonna tell you how they validate the votes? I'm sure they know very well about the subject and they aren't going to spill the beans my friend... Pack your bags and move on to the next project! :)
